Qualifications

  • Appropriate coaching certification as regulated by the IHSA --OR-- Illinois Professional Educator License
  • Strong knowledge of the sport and an ability to teach and develop the skills of our student-athletes
  • Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
  • Effective communication skills with students and adults
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
  • Willing to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed

Compensation

  • This is a Differential position.ย  The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website.ย  Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience.ย  Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.
