The Midwest Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally-aware Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position offers a unique remote working arrangement, allowing you to perform your duties from home while maintaining close ties with your counseling team and the broader organization. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to adjust schedules based on patient needs. You will be well-equipped with the necessary tools to provide high-quality care while collaborating with colleagues through digital platforms.

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gather comprehensive information about patients' backgrounds, experiences, and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, tailored specifically to each patient's unique cultural and personal context.
• Offer a variety of therapeutic modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, aimed at addressing complex mental health concerns and fostering resilience.
• Work closely with other mental health professionals—such as psychiatrists and psychologists—to ensure seamless and integrated care for patients.
• Provide critical support during crises, delivering intervention strategies that stabilize patients in moments of mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, explore treatment options, and connect them with community resources to facilitate their ongoing journey towards wellness.
• Maintain precise and confidential records, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards in documentation and patient care.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and training focused on cultural competency and best practices in mental health.
• Stay updated on contemporary research and evidence-based practices, enriching your approach and enhancing client care outcomes.

You will primarily work with clients from diverse backgrounds, which includes ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant populations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all patients receive respectful, high-quality, and individualized care tailored to their unique experiences and challenges.

• Possession of a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid license in the state of Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A solid understanding of various mental health disorders along with culturally responsive treatment methods and practices.
• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy while employing inclusive approaches to address the distinct needs of various client groups.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and maintaining composure during high-stress scenarios.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively building rapport with diverse patient populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications essential for maintaining patient documentation and records.
• Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining professional boundaries in all interactions.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team focused on enhancing patient health outcomes.

• Prior experience in a multicultural or inclusive clinical setting, particularly with the outlined patient populations.
• Demonstrated ability to apply tailored therapeutic methods that adhere to individual patients' cultural frameworks.
• Engagement in continuing education or specialized training in mental health practices or cultural competency.
