• Conduct thorough initial assessments and detailed evaluations to identify clients’ mental health needs and concerns, utilizing standardized tools and interviews.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring alignment with clients' goals and preferences.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, drawing on diverse therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.
• Keep accurate and updated client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies and regulations to facilitate ongoing care.
• Engage in collaborative communication with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively and ensure clients receive comprehensive services.
• Adhere to the highest ethical standards and professional guidelines set forth by the state licensing board and the American Counseling Association.
• Participate in continuing education and training to remain informed about the latest research, techniques, and best practices in mental health counseling.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse range of clients, including children, families, and individuals experiencing challenges related to trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health issues. Your ability to build trusting relationships will be crucial in helping clients achieve their emotional and mental health goals.

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active LPC licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, showcasing in-depth understanding of various mental health conditions.
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively in both individual and group settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive client relationships.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining client documentation.

• Experience working with specific populations, including children, adolescents, and clients managing substance abuse or trauma-related conditions.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms to conduct remote therapy sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate group therapy sessions.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
