Job Title: Project Manager
Job Location: Atlanta/Albany, GA
Labor Category: Exempt

Travel Requirement: Up to 25% of the time

Scope of Work:

The Project/Warehouse Manager serves as the Company on-site representative and is responsible for the overall management, administration, and successful execution of the contract. This position provides day-to-day leadership of warehouse operations, personnel, scheduling, quality, and customer support while ensuring contract requirements are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Government expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Contractor's primary on-site point of contact for Government representatives.
  • Provide overall management, supervision, and direction of contract personnel and daily warehouse operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all contract activities to ensure successful performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Develop work schedules and staffing plans to maximize resource utilization while minimizing overtime and meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee warehouse operations utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent inventory management system.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely reports, records, inventories, and contract deliverables are submitted as required.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for assigned employees while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives to address operational requirements, priorities, and customer concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Government regulations, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Complete all required training within established timelines.
  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain in support of Federal Government installation logistics, distribution, or supply operations.
  • Three (3) years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent inventory management system within the past five (5) years.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising personnel, coordinating work schedules, and managing daily operational activities.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and controlling multiple work activities while ensuring contract performance objectives are achieved.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Government representatives, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Hold and Maintain a Secret Clearance (Tier 3) as required by the contract.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce, including working within a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) environment.
  • Direct experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) in support of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) operations.
  • Knowledge of DLA warehouse, distribution, inventory management, and logistics processes, including experience supporting DLA sites or contracts.
  • Completion of DLA-specific training, certifications, or other formal logistics training related to warehouse and supply chain operations.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are  Must be able to navigate active work sites when necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
