Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

Position Description

  • The Material Driver under general supervision, distributes either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.
  • This position is expected to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the needs of the Materials and production or other departments.
  • Tasks will vary by work area and work assignments will change based on business demands, routine Job rotations will be required to support the Safety, Quality and Productivity Objectives
  • The position is expected to perform the specified job duties within the allotted time, within the quality standards and prescribed methods.

Essential Job Functions

  • Moves goods and material within a production environment using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV)
  • Loading, unloading, or moving goods and material from one location to another with a forklift or other PIV
  • Works on a PIV, operates warehouse computer software with moderate expertise.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous warehouse experience is a plus
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • 6mon-1year forklift experience
  • High school diploma
  • 18 years or older
  • Safety training
  • Vehicle Training

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone. Mobility within the work facility.
  • Ability to stand 8+Hours
  • Ability to bend, lift, reach and turn throughout the shift
