Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our logistics team in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for delivering grocery products to customer store locations, unloading product into stores, and ensuring safe, accurate, and timely deliveries.

This is an open position reporting to the Logistics Manager and is a Union Teamster role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL-A tractor trailers and straight trucks
  • Complete local and overnight delivery routes
  • Deliver grocery products to customer store locations
  • Unload product into stores using liftgate and pallet jacks
  • Verify delivery accuracy and complete required paperwork
  • Obtain signatures and maintain delivery records
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all company safety procedures and DOT requirements
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations in the past 2 years
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to safely handle touch freight deliveries into stores
