Union steel workers can be involved in various roles, including operating machinery, maintaining equipment, and overseeing the production of steel products. Being part of a union often provides workers with job security, collective bargaining power, and access to grievance procedures. The presence of unions has played a significant role in shaping labor standards within the steel industry.
