Compensation range: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Teller; your focus is delivering exceptional service to our members while facilitating various transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Serving as a representative of the credit union, you uphold the highest standards of professionalism, focusing on creating a positive member centric experience.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains knowledge of products and services to properly assist members.
  • Accurately process member transactions and provide appropriate recommendations to members who may need guidance in identifying the best solution to meet their needs
  • Develop member relationships and retention of business, while actively promoting and cross-selling credit union products and services.
  • Strict adherence to verification processes for authenticating member identities, verifying transactions, and confirming sensitive information to prevent fraudulent activities
  • Balances cash drawer and accurately processes transactions; assists in open/close activity and with end of day efforts to balance the branch.
  • Achieves teller referral goals and participates in contests and other branch efforts to generate business.
  • Monitors branch activities for compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Resolves compliance issues as needed
  • Audits, balances and fills ATMs as needed. Performance basic level ATM maintenance
  • Monitors daily activities of teller line
  • Attend training as required.

Knowledge & Skills Needed to be successful in this role

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency
  • A minimum of one to three (3) years of teller experience or related experience is normally required
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to build relationships with members and teammates
  • Cash handling skills
