What is a federal credit union?

A Federal Credit Union (FCU) is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned and operated by its members. FCUs are chartered and regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a federal agency, ensuring the safety and soundness of the institution. Employees at Federal Credit Unions often navigate challenges such as staying updated with evolving financial regulations, ensuring high-quality member service, and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
