Job description

This 28 hr/week position requires working varying weekday shifts and every Saturday.
BRANCH HOURS
Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM
NATURE AND SCOPE
Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services to members. Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
3. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
4. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
5. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
2. Cross-sells other member services.
3. Processes mail deposits and withdrawals.
4. May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
5. May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
6. May train to verify checks for other tellers.
7. May train to perform overrides.
8. May be cross trained to help in other positions within the branch.
9. May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
