Tesserais seeking a skilled Plumber to assemble, install, and repair heating, water, and drainage systems at Naval Base Kitsap,Bangor. Thisrole involves reading and interpreting building plans, preparing work areas, and ensuring plumbing installationscomply withspecifications and codes. Working under supervision, the Plumber will support safe, efficient operations while building hands-on experience in a variety of plumbing tasks.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assistwith maintenance, installation, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems, including water, sewer, gas, air, steam, pools, and related equipment.

  • Clear blockages andmaintaindrain lines, floor drains, vents, and storm drainage systems.

  • Repair or replace faucets, joints, valves, pumps, and plumbing fixtures to ensure efficient system operation.

  • Install and service domestic, industrial, and commercial plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, heaters, and disposals.

  • Support preventive maintenance, inspections, and fire protection systemcomponentrepairs.

  • Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and work plans to performaccuratediagnostics and repairs.

  • Maintainaccurateservice records, generate parts requests, and use handheld devices for documentation.

  • Operate andmaintainplumbing tools and equipment;participatein on-call rotation asrequired.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED isrequired.

  • Minimum 3 years in Plumbing/ closely related field.

  • An equivalentcombination of education/experience will be considered.

  • Must have general knowledge of plumbing and be able to use hand tools, power tools and appliancesrequiredfor the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures and pipes.

  • Mustbe able to follow maintenance instructions, service and diagnose systems, and complete repairs.

  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability toperformthe following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance. The physical demands of this position may bereasonably accommodatedfor individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to50pounds.
