Job Title: Application Development IV (ML / AI Engineer)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: Contract (June 15 - December 24, 2026)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $70-$80 per Hour
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Development IV consultant to support a data and analytics initiative within a large financial services environment. This role focuses on building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade machine learning solutions, with a strong emphasis on MLOps, API development, and scalable data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop machine learning models to solve business problems across areas such as classification, regression, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP.
Build and deploy production-ready ML services and pipelines (batch and real-time) using modern engineering best practices.
Develop and integrate APIs, including third-party API integrations, to support application and data workflows.
Collaborate with data engineering and software development teams to ensure seamless integration of ML models into enterprise systems.
Implement monitoring and governance for models, including performance tracking, data/model drift detection, and version control.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using tools such as Docker.
Document system architecture, workflows, and operational processes while clearly communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience developing APIs and integrating with third-party services
3+ to 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems into production
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost
Experience working with data processing tools such as SQL (SQL Server or Oracle), Pandas, NumPy, and Spark
Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying applications in production environments
Solid understanding of ML concepts including model evaluation, feature engineering, and bias/variance tradeoffs
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell
Preferred:
Experience with workflow automation and orchestration
Exposure to cloud-based ML deployments and infrastructure-as-code practices
Experience implementing model interpretability and responsible AI practices
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring a blend of software development, machine learning expertise, and production support within a regulated enterprise environment.
