Therapist – Cert Elig Resp Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals for patient care and conducts comprehensive respiratory assessments.

  • Manages airways, administers oxygen therapy, and performs nebulizer therapy and smoking cessation education.

  • Monitors patient's vital signs, pulmonary mechanics, and prioritizes tasks based on patient acuity.

  • Implements care following organizational policies, infection control, and safety protocols.

  • Advocates for patient rights, maintains confidentiality, and engages in professional growth and leadership activities, including time management and error correction.

Qualifications:

  • Currently in the 2nd year of AMA certified Respiratory Program.

  • Current Basic CPR certification.

  • Must have current Indiana Respiratory Practitioner's Student or Temporary License.

  • Ability to perform External Cardiac Massage.

  • Flexible in schedule to meet the needs of the patient on a 24 hour basis.

  • Willing to obtain ACLS, PAL, and NRP certification.

  • License and status must be maintained according to state, AARC, and NBRC guidelines, failure to do so may result in change of status or termination if employee cannot fulfill the duties of their job description.
