Union Material Handlers are workers who are responsible for receiving, moving, storing, and distributing materials within a warehouse, factory, or construction site. They are represented by a labor union, which negotiates their wages, benefits, and working conditions. Their duties often include operating forklifts or other machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations. Being part of a union provides additional job security and protections compared to non-union positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a union material handler?

To thrive as a Union Material Handler, you need physical stamina, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with some positions requiring forklift certification.
