Job description

Established in 2009, CASEY Construction Group, LLC's mission is to deliver trusted quality and distinguished service in drywall, floor leveling, and polished concrete, partnering with general contractors across the DC, Raleigh, and Richmond regions to build reliably, precisely, and with integrity.


Position Summary: The Drywall Finisher will seal joints, repair cracks, and smooth imperfections on walls and ceilings to create surfaces that are suitable for final treatment.


Responsibilities:

  • Joining drywall panels using tape and joint compound
  • Repairing cracks and any other damage to drywall panels
  • Concealing any imperfections or exposed irregularities in the drywall surface
  • Layering joint compound with trowels to create a flat surface
  • Sanding down rough areas on the wall to create a smooth surface
  • Skimming the surface with final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work
  • Managing and maintaining all the required equipment for the job
  • Reporting any job-related issues to supervisor
  • Ensuring all equipment and materials are used safely and effectively
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • It is preferred to have experience working in the trade; however, we are willing to train motivated and reliable individuals.
  • Must have knowledge of the tools, materials, and methods used in drywall finishing.
  • Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protection equipment (PPE), as required.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods of time, lift, and hold excess of 62 lbs. Frequently on site and subject to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on the location. Ability to perform work from heights, using ladders and scaffolds.
