Responsibilities

Responsible for working with members of the credit union to help them with their financial planning needs.  This includes retirement planning, income planning, cash flow management, protection strategies, tax planning, and estate planning.  Works with store associates to develop a referral strategy so that the Retirement & Investment Services offered by the credit union are made known to the members.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Finance, Business or related field from an accredited university required.
  • Minimum 2 years of revenue- generating financial sales experience required.
  • Series 7, 66, or (63 and 65) securities licenses required.
  • Florida Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required.
  • Related customer service experience preferred.
  • CFP, ChFC, CRPC, JD, CPA or similar designation currently held or actively pursuing strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate successfully and in a professional manner with clients, above average math aptitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent decision making and problem-solving skills, superior amount of computer literacy and proofreading capabilities. 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

Work Environment:

  • Preferred candidates will reside in Columbia or Charleston, SC, or within the surrounding region between these two cities.
