Water System Manager

Corporate Statement

Nephron Nitrile is a new privately-owned Nitrile Glove manufacturer. Nephron Nitrile products are proudly made in the USA! We are headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Primary Accountabilities:

NOTE: The primary accountabilities and knowledge, skills and abilities listed below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.

  • Schedule in-house and outside maintenance for the Process of Water system.
  • Support outside maintenance contractors performing contracted work at Nephron Nitrile facility and ensure the company complies with Nephron procedures and work requirements.
  • Ensure all parts required for maintenances or new construction are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify improvements to the Process Water system and their associated procedures.
  • Maintain departmental procedures and controls.
  • Ensure the Process Water system remains in compliance with the various procedures, work instructions, GMP regulations, and internal policies, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Provide recommendations to management to resolve maintenance issues and operation improvement.
  • Hire, supervise and evaluate Process Water system personnel. Monitor attendance and execute corrective actions per company policy.
  • Ensure Process Water system personnel timecards and time off requests are approved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the operability of new projects; design, procure and construct to support operations.
  • Direct contracted projects to ensure adherence to specification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemistry, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in managerial roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of all maintenance trades (controls, plumbing, electrical).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to read blueprints, control drawings, mechanical drawings and electrical drawings.
  • Valid Grade B Physical/Chemical Wastewater Operator License required. Candidates must have experience in wastewater treatment processes.
  • The ability to manage a multitude of resources and to be accurate and current with data and information.
  • The ability to create and contribute environment that values people, encourages trust, teamwork, and open communication, and provides participation, learning, feedback and recognition.
  • The ability to set clear targets and use performance measures to assess risk and opportunities in order to effectively manage the assets of the business.
  • The ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands.
  • The ability to effectively manage oneself, demonstrates integrity, be productive under pressure, and achieve development goals.
  • Position requires bending (overhead to floor), climbing (floor to platform), lifting (up to 50lbs), reaching, vision (20/20), standing (60%), and walking (40%).
  • Incumbents required to wear safety glasses, personal protective equipment, and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.

Salary range: $85,000–$110,000, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
