Summary:

The Business Optimization Manager is responsible for analyzing credit union processes and operations to improve efficiency, experience, and increase profitability. The Manager uses a data-driven approach to analyze and identify opportunities for improvement in various business areas, including member service, lending, operations, marketing, and back-office functions.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the related area, preferably in a credit union or financial services environment.
  • Minimum five years of experience leading business transformation programs, process improvement initiatives, or project portfolios in a financial services environment preferred; Agile, or related program/project management certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a thorough analysis of the credit union's business processes, systems, and operations, and identifies areas of improvement to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Develops and maintains a business optimization initiative portfolio, prioritize projects based on organizational goals, member impact, operational efficiencies, resource availability, and expected business value.
  • Collaborate with the MX Team to analyze member experience data/feedback to develop and implement member service improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the in-depth analysis of existing workflows and create flowcharts and journey maps to represent processes improvements.
  • Partners with department leaders and subject matter experts to collect input and create action plans for implementation.
  • Develops and implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, key performance indicators (KPI), and produces a data-driven analysis of critical functions.
  • Produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption of new processes.
  • Monitors and reports on progress, communicates results to key stakeholders, and provides recommendations for continued improvement.
  • Stays current with industry trends and best practices in business optimization, process improvement, and service delivery.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones are met and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor.

The good faith range for this position is $93,042 - $116,302 per year. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
