Uniform Attendant


The Uniform Attendant is responsible for every aspect of The Cake Bake Shop’s team members being provided with the proper uniform garments needed to meet presentation expectations. This individual should be organized, have computer proficiency, maintain stringent time management to ensure team members are show-ready in a timely manner, and should have great communication skills. They should be observant, can communicate their thoughts in a clear, concise manner, must possess the ability to complete data entry, and interpret standard reporting functions.  


Core Objectives of this Role (this list is not all inclusive):


  • The Uniform Attendant will play an integral role in distributing uniforms for the Front of House and Culinary team members

  • Receive laundered uniforms, conduct quality verifications, and scan all garments in and out of inventory

  • Operate a computer tracking system daily and complete data entry

  • Provide team members with instruction on best practices for the care and maintenance of their uniforms

  • Ensure that uniforms meet company presentation standards and sort soiled garments to be laundered

  • Identify uniforms that do not meet safety, presentation standards and coordinate the repair of distressed garments

  • Organize uniforms, move/transport uniforms as needed, and hang garments in their respective designated locations

  • Provide friendly, attentive, and accurate support for team members by utilizing excellent communication skills, problem solving, and maintaining meticulous records

  • Notify team members of garments they have not returned and when applicable, explain policy and expectations

  • Maintain a neat and tidy work area, maintain sufficient supplies necessary, and 

  • Conduct routine audits to ensure uniforms are properly stored in the correct location and remove any potential hazards that could cause damage to the uniform garments

  • Communicate any variances to members of leadership, ensure that any loss or damage to company property is reported in a timely manner, and minimize loss 

  • Any other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations and the President/Owner




Requirements:


  • Computer proficiency, data entry, and the ability to interpret standard reporting functions

  • Must be capable of reviewing garments, identifying damaged or distressed pieces, and recognizing and removing/repairing compromised garments 

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week
