Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Clothes Presser to join our dry cleaning and laundry team. The Clothes Presser is responsible for pressing, steaming, and finishing garments and other textiles to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate pressing equipment such as steam irons, pressing machines, and finishing tools.

Press garments (e.g., suits, shirts, dresses, trousers) to remove wrinkles and give them a professional finish.

Check garments for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.

Sort and organize items by fabric type and pressing method.

Handle delicate and specialty fabrics with care, following proper guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing station and equipment.

Ensure garments meet quality standards before packaging and tagging for pickup or delivery.

Follow safety procedures and proper use of steam and hot equipment.

Assist with other laundry duties as needed, including folding, bagging, and customer service.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in laundry or dry cleaning preferred but not required.

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warm environment.

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
