Job Description
Assist the Laundry Director in executing the day-to-day operations of the Laundry and reports directly to the Director of Laundry Services. Check and sort clothes for proper cleaning instructions. Operates the dry cleaning machine, dry cleaning presses and uses proper chemicals on garments as needed to clean garments. Assist in washing and pressing laundry clothes as needed. Monitors washers/dryers and dry cleaning machine for proper maintenance and operation, such as clean machine filters as required and check machine traps and machine leaks as preventive maintenance. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of various cleaning methods. Must be able to read cleaning labels and instructions for different types of garments. Ability to handle multi task. Highly motivated self starter.
Preferred Qualifications
Laundry and dry cleaning experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Lifting, standing, carrying, stooping/bending. Work in extreme heat.
