Our Plumbing Underground crew is responsible for:

  • Assembles pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and/or welding equipment.
  • Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water/air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe using hand power tools or machines.
  • Repairs plumbing, replaces defective washers, mends broken pipes, and opens clogged drains. Installs underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
  • Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors, safety hazards, or other issues, and solutions or escalates them appropriately.
  • Facilitates knowledge transfer and teaches trade skills to less experienced employees.
  • Will be expected to properly layout and install underground piping for residential homes.
  • Must understand test out procedures for municipal inspection. Employee will also be expected to have standard knowledge of plumbing codes for the installation that they are responsible for.

Requirements

All Underground Plumbing personnel is accountable for:

  • Must have 1 year of Plumbing residential installer experience
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license and clean MVR report
  • Must possess the ability to own and use power tools to effectively execute plumbing jobs
  • Ability to wear company approved personal protection equipment per local, state, federal or OSHA regulations.
  • This job operates in a construction site environment and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions or inside conditions.
  • Must complete tasks, as assigned, within the company's standard timeframe.
