Part-Time Counter Clerk
Lincoln City Parks and Recreation
$17.05 - $19.55 per hour

FIRST LOOK: August 12, 2026
Lincoln City has a great opportunity with the Parks and Recreation Department as a part-time Counter Clerk! As a counter clerk, you will perform a variety of reception and light administrative tasks in support of the Community Center. Present a positive, warm and helpful presence when greeting and responding to the needs of customers.
Must be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends. Customer service and office computer skills required. Must also have a high degree of scheduling flexibility and be able to fill-in at the front counter on an on-call basis, sometimes with short notice.
All required items must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2026, to be included in the first application review process.

Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: HS education or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in a retail or other customer-facing work environment, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties. Strong computer, cash handling/balancing and record keeping skills. Demonstrated excellent communication, customer service, organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills in an environment that can sometimes be fast-paced and busy.
Must also have a high degree of scheduling flexibility and be able to fill-in at the front counter, sometimes with short notice.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: None.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of ActiveNet. Familiarity with recreation and fitness activities and equipment. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility and visual acuity. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 15 pounds on a regular basis and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity is required to utilize equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, telephone and other standard office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office conditions are consistent with a high traffic area with noise level higher than typical office environment with frequent interruptions and background noises.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision is not a typical function assigned to this position.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Superintendent.
