Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit


Position Summary
This position serves as a resource for the department, providing vital support to the departments serviced by the Business Hub. The position is responsible for processing daily financial transactions and assisting with financial system inquiries from supported departments. Additionally, the position communicates with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to support business operations and financial processes.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Ability to accurately process financial transactions and maintain financial records. 
  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data entry and documentation. 
  •  Knowledge of basic financial processes, procedures, and accounting principles. 
  •  Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to internal departments. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and experience working with financial or administrative systems.



Management Preferences
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative, financial, accounting, or business operations support preferred. 
  •  Experience processing financial transactions, reconciling records, and supporting financial systems preferred. 
  •  Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  •  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial data and documentation. 
  •  Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders. 
  •  Experience with financial systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or university/government financial processes preferred. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and data management tools preferred.
