The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology and the University of Minnesota Medical School invite applications for tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of physiology and biomedical science relevant to human health. We seek outstanding scientists who will establish a competitive extramurally funded research program that focuses on studies from an integrative molecular to systems physiology perspective.

Areas of particular interest that align with the Departments collective expertise and strengths include: the cardiovascular system, metabolism, diabetes, obesity, inflammation, muscle, and age-associated diseases. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate, graduate and medical student instruction. 
 

Minimum qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in a relevant field of study, plus applicable postdoctoral or faculty experience. A creative and innovative research program is essential, including a high impact publication record. 

The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology, led by Joseph Metzger, PhD, is a dynamic and growing medical school basic science department that values excellence, innovation, diversity, inclusion and impact as cornerstones to biomedical research and education. Pay Range: Assistant Professor pay starts at $85,000 and full professorships can pay up to $180,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
