Overview

Ultrasound Tech (Sonographer) – Ultrasound specialty in Colorado. This travel assignment starts 09/14/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 32 hours per week on days. The position offers a pay range of $2,108 to $2,205 per week and takes place in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform two-dimensional ultrasound imaging of internal organs for diagnosis, ensuring high-quality images and proper documentation.
  • Prepare patients, position them appropriately, and operate ultrasound equipment while maintaining patient safety and comfort; manage departmental patient flow.
  • Optimize imaging protocols, select appropriate transducers, and adjust machine settings to achieve diagnostic-quality scans.
  • Collaborate with radiologists or physicians on interpretation; assist with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.
  • Document findings clearly in patient records; ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain equipment and contribute to a smooth workflow within the department.
Requirements
  • Current ARRT Ultrasound certification/registry
  • General Ultrasound experience; Echo experience/certification a plus
  • If performing echocardiography, NBE certification
  • Ability to work in a rural hospital setting and to cover day shifts
  • Licensure requirements as specified for this role
