UCT is looking for a talented Sr Manager, Sales Incentives to join us inAustin, TX

The Senior Manager, Sales Incentives is responsible for managing sales compensation plans and processes, overseeing on-going design changes, payout processes, and collaborating with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance and HR.

This role operates at the intersection of data, systems, and people. Their work directly influences sales behavior, employee engagement, and retention, and requires a balance of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills, that benefit both the business and its sales workforce.

Responsibilities:

Plan and Process Management: Oversee and manage sales compensation plans and processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales strategies. Analyze market trends, internal data, and industry benchmarks to ensure fair and motivating plans and regularly update them to reflect organizational changes or market shifts.

Performance Analysis and Metrics: Track and evaluate sales performance against established metrics, using dashboards and analytics tools to assess plan effectiveness. This includes identifying trends, resolving discrepancies, and recommending adjustments to optimize results.

Budget and Financial Management: Forecast and manage sales compensation budgets, balancing incentives with financial sustainability. Track and calculate financial incentive payouts, including delivery of statements. Simulate payout models and ensure cost-effective plan execution.

Collaboration and Communication:Closely collaborates with Sales, Finance, HR, and IT teams to implement plans, capture data, and communicate policies. Provide training and guidance to sales teams to ensure understanding and motivation.

Compliance and Governance:Ensure that sales compensation plans comply with legal and regulatory standards is critical. Stay updated on relevant laws and adjust plans to maintain compliance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The role requires a strategic mindset, strong financial and analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive results.
  • Strong project management, facilitation and communication skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Certifications in Finance or Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) is a plus.

Experience Requirement:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in sales operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing sales compensation.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with Sales Performance Management tools, Excel, and CRM systems.
