Job description

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Paint Booth Cleaners at the Ford KTP SUV facility located in Louisville, KY. These individuals will be responsible for janitorial activities, lifting, water blasting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, and inspection of waste storage areas in an automotive manufacturing facility. Scheduling subject to union seniority.
Shift Details:
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Saturday-Tuesday 8:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. and Wednesday-Saturday 8:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Utilize solvents, and high-pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi for industrial cleaning.
  • Perform manual scraping and chipping to clean surfaces such as walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.
  • Execute minor maintenance as needed.
  • Vacuum and wipe the interior and exterior of equipment.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
  • Perform other specialized paint booth cleaning tasks as required.
  • Perform lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.
  • Perform safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.
  • Perform general janitorial duties including office and restroom cleaning.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6" of the ground for extended periods of time.
  • Climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
  • Lift, carry and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and physical.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
