About Us: We are a busy, high-volume collision center in San Diego looking for a dedicated Automotive Painter Helper / Prepper to join our team. If you have a passion for cars, a sharp eye for detail, and want to grow your skills alongside master painters, this is the place for you. Key Responsibilities: Prep Vehicles: Wipe down, mask, and tape vehicles to prepare them for the paint booth.Surface Perfection: Apply primer, block sand, and buff/polish finished paint jobs.Maintain Equipment: Keep spray guns, mixing rooms, and the paint booth clean and organized.Qualifications: Previous experience in a body shop or auto detailing environment (preferred).Strong understanding of sanding, masking, and body filler techniques.Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail.Valid Driver's License with a clean record.Compensation & Benefits: Pay Rate: $22 - $25/hour (Depending on experience)Schedule: Monday - Friday (Overtime available)Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K, Holidays and Sick pay after 90 days
