The Division of Emergency Radiology in the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Clinical Educator Track.

Job Functions:

  • Interpret Neuro, abdominal and chest imaging (body CTs, chest CTs, Neuro CT's, plain films), MR imaging of the body/Neuro and diagnostic ultrasound.

  • Supervise performance of technical personnel.

  • Take evening/after-hours/weekend calls at UHT or at other locations as required.

  • Cover UMH, UMHC, Lennar and other satellites remotely from UHT; however, coverage at other areas may be necessary.

  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of emergency imaging and diagnostic radiology.

  • Provide diagnostic imaging consultations as requested.

  • Provide emergency patient care related to imaging as required in the setting of a radiology practice.

  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of emergency imaging and diagnostic imaging at UHT/ UMHC.

  • Participate in teaching activities related to emergency/trauma and acute care radiology as required in:Technological radiology educational programs, Continuing medical education programs

  • Serve on Departmental, University of Miami Medical Center committees and provide service to the same in other manners as requested.

  • Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Abdominal/Body Imaging, MSK, Neuro or Emergency.

  • M.D. or D.O., Ph. D or foreign equivalent, in medicine and eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida.

  • Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or publications.
