Who We Are

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

Position Summary: 

To provide nursing care for patients in an Outpatient/Inpatient setting to include completing nursing assessments, urinalysis, vital signs,  provides leadership in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.  Provides medical management and assessment of patients.  Ensure environmental safety.  Works with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

This is a hybrid position (Outpatient and Inpatient setting).

Essential Job Duties:

  • Conduct complete nursing assessment of all admissions including risk assessments, educational needs, and medication review. Completes all required nursing documents within established time frame.
  • Actively participate in treatment team decisions, assess patient needs, design and implement programs, and document / evaluate patient responses.
  • Ensure patient’s medication & treatment are administered as prescribed and that documentation reflects the care provided.
  • Assist Manager in day to day operations
