Job description

UGC Coordinator

Location: Ogden, UT (on-site)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The UGC Manager owns the end-to-end user-generated content pipeline for HydroJug. This seat is the connective tissue between the creator community and every downstream team that needs authentic content — paid media, organic social, email, and product launches. You will recruit, brief, and manage a network of organic UGC creators, own the licensing and rights stack, track performance at the content level, and feed a steady volume of approved UGC to the paid team (Chris McFarland and Katarina Mitic) and the organic social team. You will work side-by-side with Gracie Ashworth (Social Media and Affiliate Manager) and partner closely with the TikTok Live & Social Execution Coordinator and the affiliate team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • UGC Creator Recruitment: Identify, vet, and onboard organic UGC creators who genuinely represent the HydroJug customer. Build and maintain a live roster of 50–150+ active contributors.
  • Creator Briefing & Communication: Write clear, on-brand creative briefs. Manage creator relationships, delivery timelines, revision rounds, and feedback loops.
  • Licensing & Rights Management: Own UGC agreements, usage rights, and whitelisting permissions. Maintain a clean content library that paid and organic teams can pull from without legal exposure.
  • Content Library Operations: Tag, organize, and maintain the UGC asset library (by product, format, season, performance tier). Ensure the paid team always has fresh, approved creative to test.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor UGC performance across paid and organic channels. Identify top-performing content types, creators, and hooks. Translate data into briefing improvements.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Serve as the primary UGC supplier to paid media (Meta, TikTok Ads), organic social, email, and the influencer team. Coordinate with the TikTok Live & Social Execution Coordinator on live-specific content needs and with the affiliate team on creator overlap.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

30 Days

  • Fully onboarded on HydroJug brand standards, existing creator relationships, and the current UGC library state.
  • Audit of all active UGC agreements, rights, and asset organization; gap list delivered to Gracie.
  • First 10 new creators briefed and in pipeline.

90 Days

  • Active UGC roster at 50+ creators with documented rights for all content.
  • Content library rebuilt or reorganized with clean taxonomy — paid and organic teams pulling from it independently.
  • Weekly UGC performance report delivered to paid and social leads.
  • First performance review cycle completed: top creators retained and brief templates refined.

180 Days

  • UGC pipeline producing consistent weekly volume across product lines and seasonal moments.
  • Clear attribution connecting UGC creative to paid ROAS and organic engagement outcomes.
  • Creator tier system in place (seeding-only vs. paid UGC vs. whitelisting-eligible).
  • Cross-team SLA established: paid team receives minimum X approved assets per week.

  • You think in content systems, not one-off posts. A brief you write today produces 20 usable assets by Friday.
  • You keep legal clean. Every asset in the library has a clear rights record.
  • You are data-driven about creative. You can tell Gracie and Chris which hooks are outperforming and why.
  • You are a strong written communicator — creator briefs are your primary work product, and they need to be specific, inspiring, and easy to execute without a call.

REPORTING & ORGANIZATION

  • Reports to: Gracie Ashworth, Social Media and Affiliates Manager
  • Key partners: TikTok Live & Social Execution Coordinator; Affiliate team; Paid Media (Chris McFarland, Katarina Mitic); Organic Social team; Mckenzie Jenaway (Copy Approver)
  • Level: Individual Contributor
  • Location: On-site, Ogden, UT
