What is a UGC manager?

A UGC (User-Generated Content) Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the collection, curation, and promotion of content created by a brand’s audience or customers. They develop strategies to encourage users to share content, ensure that submissions align with brand guidelines, and leverage this content across marketing channels to boost engagement and authenticity. UGC Managers often work closely with social media, marketing, and community teams to maximize the impact of user-generated content. Their role is crucial in building trust and fostering a loyal online community.

How does a UGC manager typically collaborate with content creators and marketing teams?

A UGC (User-Generated Content) Manager acts as a bridge between content creators, such as brand advocates or influencers, and internal marketing teams. They coordinate campaigns, provide guidelines, and ensure that user-generated submissions align with brand messaging and quality standards. Regular communication is essential—UGC Managers often work closely with social media managers, community managers, and creative teams to source, curate, and distribute content effectively. This collaboration helps maintain consistency, foster engagement, and maximize the impact of authentic user contributions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a UGC manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a UGC (User-Generated Content) Manager, you need a solid background in digital marketing, content strategy, and community management, often supported by a relevant degree or experience in social media. Familiarity with social media management platforms, analytics tools, and content moderation systems is typically required. What You'll Do
Affiliate Program Coordination
• Identify and recruit potential affiliate partners to expand Mango's affiliate network.
• Process and review affiliate applications and manage coupon/promo codes.

• Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building, including cold outreach to prospective affiliates and creators.
• Familiarity with affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact) or willingness to learn.
• Basic experience with content scheduling tools is a plus.
