Job description

Overview

This is a PRN Position. This position is fully On site.

Acts as liaison between the Medical Staff Office and UF Health Shands credentialed providers and stakeholders. Performs the credentialing function for UF Health Shands by compiling and analyzing all credentialing and provider enrollment supporting information to assure that all Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals providing medical care or treatment of patients throughout the UF Health Shands System are continually credentialed and/or privileged in accordance with all statutory and accreditation requirements. Performs provider enrollment with state/government payers and maintains enrollment record data in group practice's billing database to assure accurate reimbursement for services.


Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of four years equivalent combination of education and experience which includes advanced administrative experience and independent project task management required.
  • Proficient organizational skills and ability to set priorities as well as manage demands effectively.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently on each credentialing/provider enrollment project as assigned.
  • Proficiency in a paperless computer environment and understanding of provider data integrity standards (credentialing software, MS Office suite, Adobe Professional, document scanning/storage, web based application and tools, etc.).
  • Knowledge of credentialing privileging, accreditation standards, provider billing and enrollment with federal and state programs is preferred.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

  • Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
