Location - Columbus, OH (Onsite)

Role: Cisco Voice Engineer / UC Engineer
Project: Cisco Unified Communications Migration to Microsoft Teams
Job Responsibilities
  • Designed, implemented, and supported enterprise Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, CUC, IM&P, UCCX) voice infrastructure.
  • Led end-to-end migration from Cisco VoIP to Microsoft Teams Phone System using Direct Routing / Operator Connect.
  • Integrated Session Border Controllers (AudioCodes / Ribbon / Oracle SBC) for Teams voice routing and PSTN connectivity.
  • Configured Teams Calling Plans, Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Dial Plans, Voice Routing Policies, and Number Porting.
  • Performed number migration, DID mapping, call flow testing, and cutover planning to ensure zero downtime.
  • Decommissioned legacy Cisco voice components after successful migration.
  • Implemented hybrid voice architecture during phased migration.
  • Conducted voice quality optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting (QoS, jitter, latency, packet loss).
  • Managed user onboarding, device provisioning (Teams phones, headsets) and training sessions.
  • Worked closely with network, security, Microsoft O365, and telecom vendors.
  • Provided L2/L3 production support and incident resolution.
  • Created migration documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
