Job description

Description:The Hardware Systems Engineer is responsible for the integration of sensors and hardware onto UAS (unmanned aerial systems) platforms. This position requires experience in systems engineering practices, mechanical design, UAS instrumentation, hardware testing/validation, as well as exceptional organization, attention to detail, and dedication to user success. The individual will support integration schedule planning and execution, mechanical design, and hardware product validation & testing. Responsibilities also include flight testing, creating internal and external facing product documentation, and level 2 engineering support. Responsibilities:Mechanical design of components related to sensors and hardware. Planning and execution of sensor and hardware integrations for new UAS platforms. Maintenance of existing sensor integrations. Planning and execution of hardware integrations for UAS platforms. UAS flight testing; wire harness design, fabrication, and documentation. Internal engineering and production documentation creation & maintenance. User facing documentation creation & maintenance; level 2 engineering support. Hardware and software compatibility testing of sensors, UAS platforms, and 3rd party post processing software. Creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and bill of materials.
