Quality Engineer


Salary: $95,000.00-$120,000.00

Position Summary

Drive product and process quality improvements within a manufacturing environment by supporting new product launches, resolving quality issues, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection methods, and process controls.
  • Perform audits, capability studies, and measurement system analysis.
  • Investigate quality concerns and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Manage nonconforming materials and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with customers regarding quality issues, approvals, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Support product launches, engineering changes, and risk assessment activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent and resolve quality concerns.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • CQE certification a plus.
