Your Role
As a Rack Operator, you'll play an essential part in our production process-safely operating and maintaining rack systems used to process and prepare vehicles for recycling. You'll ensure vehicles are properly drained, secured, and prepared for dismantling while upholding our safety and environmental standards.
What You'll Do as a Rack Operator
  • Promote a "Safety First" and "Environmental Stewardship" culture
  • Operate racks, hand tools, and fixed equipment (air compressors, hydraulic shears, CFC recovery units, etc.)
  • Safely secure vehicles on racks and remove fluids, catalytic converters, and designated parts
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; report needed repairs to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support vehicle preparation and ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to meet daily goals
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and dress code (including PPE)
  • Commit to standard production hours (Monday-Friday) with occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays

What You Bring as a Rack Operator
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork
  • General automotive mechanical knowledge
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor industrial environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Reliable transportation
    Preferred:
  • Experience with heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, hydraulics, etc.)
  • Basic auto parts knowledge
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
