INDEPENDENT FREIGHT AGENT

R.B. Humphreys, Inc. — Rome, NY (Remote)

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Independent Freight Agent with R.B. Humphreys, you will build and manage your own book of business while operating under our established authority. Backed by more than 60 years of experience in temperature-controlled transportation, you'll have the flexibility to pursue opportunities across a variety of freight markets. You focus on sales and customer relationships — we handle the back office.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships across a variety of freight segments, leveraging R.B. Humphreys' deep expertise in temperature-controlled transportation when opportunities arise.
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements with shippers and carriers
  • Communicate proactively with customers on load status, issues, and solutions
  • Work independently while collaborating with the R.B. Humphreys operations and support team
