Alliance Texas Fuel Services (ATFS), a subsidiary of Alliance Aviation Services, oversees the safe and efficient operation of the City of Fort Worth's above-ground fuel farm, located at the Fort Worth Maintenance Base. The facility houses seven fuel tanks with a combined capacity of just over 200,000 gallons.
ATFS specializes in the transfer of aviation Jet-A fuel to its customers through an underground hydrant distribution system. In addition to fuel farm operations, ATFS deploys a fleet of commercial fuel trucks to support air carrier activities throughout Alliance Airport. The Fuel Operations Specialist ensures full compliance with all standards and regulatory requirements issued by the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Fire Department, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Air Transport Association (ATA 103). This individual also supports airport operations and aircraft servicing in coordination with the Fixed Base Operator (FBO), while assisting with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth and safe fuel service delivery.
Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all NFPA 407 safety protocols.
  • Follow operational standards set by MIL-STD-1548H.

Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain ground handling equipment and support vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all fuel trucks.

Team Participation and Support:

  • Assist with aircraft cargo loading and unloading procedures as needed.
  • Support Fixed Base Operator (FBO) operations during peak activity periods and special aviation events.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support clear and accurate reporting.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and see projects through to completion without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding ATFS's workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Skilled in operating a wide range of aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education and Experience:
  • Highschool diploma required; college coursework or technical training preferred.
  • Prior experience in fuel farm operations, fuel quality assurance, and basic mechanical systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and related ground handling equipment.
  • Hands-on experience operating large commercial aircraft fuel trucks.
