Job description

Procom Enterprises has been in the security and communications business since 1993. We're a full Motorola Solutions ecosystem integrator and Elite+ Partner, ranked #8 among U.S. integrators on the 2026 CE Pro 100.

80+ employees. 60+ certified technicians. A 50-vehicle fleet running out of Schaumburg, Illinois and Kenosha, Wisconsin.

We support MOTOTRBO and PCR systems alongside video security, access control, intrusion, and fire alarm for school districts, hospitals, manufacturers, logistics operations, and government agencies.

The role

Based in Schaumburg, with travel across Illinois, Wisconsin, and northern Indiana.

You'll install, program, commission, and service Motorola two-way radio systems — portables, mobiles, repeaters, and the antenna infrastructure behind them. Site surveys and coverage testing. Fleet programming and template management. Troubleshooting RF problems that other people have already given up on.

Direct contact with the customers who depend on these systems working. Hands-on field work with real autonomy.

Compensation

$40–$65 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. Higher for a candidate arriving fully PCR-certified.

Company vehicle, gas card, and tools provided. Health, dental, and vision. 401(k). Paid time off. All Motorola and manufacturer certifications paid for, including recertification every two years.

What we're looking for

  • Experience servicing two-way radio systems
  • Antenna, coax, and connector work; duplexer and combiner tuning
  • Radio programming experience
  • Comfortable with rooftop and lift work
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Helpful, not required: FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License. ETA certification (CETa, WCM, or GCT2). Amateur radio license. Military or public safety communications background. Existing Motorola PCR certification.
