Salary Range - $85,000 - $105,000
POSITION SUMMARY 
The Senior Designer is responsible for leading the design and development of architectural projects from concept through construction. This role ensures that design solutions meet client objectives, project requirements, and applicable codes and regulations, while maintaining the firm’s standards for quality and design excellence.
The Senior Designer works closely with the Principal Architect and project teams to coordinate design efforts, oversee documentation, and support successful project delivery across residential and commercial projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the design and development of projects through all phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
· Prepare and oversee the production of design and construction documentation in accordance with firm standards.
· Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and support design development.
· Perform code analysis and technical research to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
· Select and specify materials, fixtures, and finishes appropriate to project scope and budget.
· Review construction document sets for accuracy, completeness, and coordination; direct revisions as needed.
· Coordinate with internal team members and external consultants to support project objectives.
· Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior staff.
· Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines.
· Participate in client meetings and presentations, clearly communicating design intent and project status.
· Utilize Revit and other design software to support project design and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· Bachelor or Master of Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program required.
Experience:
· 8–10 years of professional architectural experience, including demonstrated experience in a senior design role.
· Experience with residential and commercial project types required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong design, technical, and problem-solving skills.
· Working knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods.
· Familiarity with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related design software.
· Experience with visualization tools such as Twinmotion or similar programs preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
· Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Professional licensure or progress toward licensure.
· Experience with sustainable design practices (e.g., Passive House, LEED).
· Strong graphic and presentation skills, including hand sketching.
