Job description

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of supplies and specialty products across multiple locations to ensure products are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm out of our Plymouth location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of all clinical supplies for multiple TCO clinics.
  • Continually monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations.
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinates inventory management activities.
  • Assists with value analysis and product trials as requested.
  • Oversees and coordinates physical inventory process at the designated sites.
  • Manages par levels and maintains accuracy within the inventory system.
  • Assists with new user setup, training, and staff questions regarding MotionMD.
  • Monitors product expiration dates.
  • Assists with new clinic/new room set up; Stocking of exam rooms/procedure rooms.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day).
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or files weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
