What is a TV Traffic job?

A TV Traffic job involves managing the scheduling and placement of commercials, promotions, and other content on television broadcasts. TV Traffic professionals coordinate with sales, programming, and production teams to ensure that all spots air at the correct times and that the broadcast log is accurate. They are responsible for tracking commercial inventory, resolving scheduling conflicts, and making last-minute changes as needed. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial in this role. The goal is to maximize revenue while maintaining compliance with contracts and regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a TV Traffic professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a TV Traffic professional, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of broadcast scheduling, usually supported by experience in media or communications.
