Job description

Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of an In-Home TV Technician.  We are a family owned company who has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year.  Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation and servicing all the products we sell. We are a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplace Award.  We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly Television Repair Technician to join our team.  If this is you, we want to hear from you!

In addition, must be comfortable contributing/working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun work environment.  Primary duties include:

  • Disassemble and evaluate electronics to be cleaned/serviced/repaired
  • Complete work order reports based on work performed
  • Attend In-house training on fitness equipment, massage chair, and microwave repair

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • A working knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of, TVs/consumer electronics is necessary
  • Medium carrying/lifting/squatting and bending
  • Ability to lift/carry/squat up to 60 pounds
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • An excellent attendance record
  • Working knowledge of analog/digital electronics, schematics and blueprints
  • 2+ years experience in Television/Electronics Repair
