Job description

Location: GA-Atlanta

Job Title:  Senior Research Analyst - WSB TV

Position Overview

The WSB-TV Research Analyst supports the Research Director and WSB-TV sales staff. Key duties include maintaining avail system inventory, assisting in providing key research information to the sales staff, input of client orders and producing collateral materials related to WSB-TV's Nielsen and Comscore performance. This is a full-time, onsite position. Mornings are emphasized as critical because most projects are assigned and new requests are made during this time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the Research Director to update rating estimates via the WOMS Avail System in a timely manner.
  • Produce research-based sales collateral for the sales staff based on WSB-TV's Nielsen and Comscore performance.
  • Produce one-sheet materials for regular WSB-TV programming, sports, and special events. In addition, this role will update station sweep review presentations and other sales-related presentations.
  • Support sales staff with qualitative research such as Marshall Marketing and MediaRadar.
  • Provide backup of the daily distribution of Nielsen reports and run special Nielsen ratings reports such as Grabix, quarter-hour flows, and zip code reports.
  • Enter TV sales orders into the internal operating system while adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining schedules and paperwork.
  • Resolve advertiser schedule discrepancies and support local sales account executives and managers with various tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of media sales or research-related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and  the ability to master Nielsen Arianna, NLTV, Comscore TV Essentials, WideOrbit Media Sales, and MediaRadar software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential and the ability to multitask and switch focus rapidly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Strong customer service skills, accountability, motivation, and the capacity to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Onsite essential role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of consumer research services such as Marshall Marketing and Scarborough
  • Previous television and/or advertising agency experience
  • Preferred knowledge of Nielsen and Comscore rating systems
