Job description

Title: Streaming Advertising Manager

Company: FreeCast, Inc.
Compensation: Base salary $75,000 - $85,000 (Total Compensation up to $110,000 with On-Target Earnings)

Position Overview

FreeCast is seeking an experienced Streaming Advertising Manager who can bridge traditional local broadcast television advertising with the rapidly evolving world of CTV, streaming, programmatic advertising, dynamic ad insertion, and AI-driven audience intelligence.

This is not simply an ad-sales position. FreeCast is looking for an advertising professional who understands the entire advertising lifecycle, from working with local advertisers and agencies to campaign setup, audience targeting, ad delivery, optimization, quality assurance, attribution, reporting, and client communication. The ideal candidate understands both the economics of local television advertising and the technology required to deliver and monetize advertising across streaming television, FAST, AVOD, CTV, and digital video environments.

Core Responsibilities

1. Local Broadcast & CTV Advertising

  • Understand the traditional local broadcast television advertising ecosystem, including local agencies, direct advertisers, spot television, DMA-based campaigns, inventory, CPMs, reach, frequency, and campaign reporting.
  • Help translate traditional local television advertising strategies into CTV and streaming advertising campaigns.
  • Work with FreeCast's sales organization to develop advertising packages combining local television concepts with digital targeting and streaming distribution.
  • Support advertisers seeking to reach audiences across FreeCast's local, streaming, FAST, AVOD, and connected-TV environments.
  • Understand how local advertising can be targeted by DMA, geography, audience, household, device, content, and other available data signals.

2. Advertising Technology & Campaign Operations

The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of, or strong working familiarity with, modern advertising technologies including:

  • IndiCue
  • Mountain / MNTN
  • Vibe
  • Amazon Ads
  • Google Marketing Platform / Display & Video 360 (DV360)
  • SSAI — Server-Side Ad Insertion
  • VAST — Video Ad Serving Template
  • DAI — Dynamic Ad Insertion
  • Programmatic advertising platforms and workflows
  • Ad servers, DSPs, SSPs and related CTV infrastructure
  • Audience targeting and campaign optimization
  • Video ad trafficking, delivery and measurement

The position will help coordinate campaigns from advertiser order through final delivery and reporting, ensuring campaigns are properly configured, targeted, delivered, measured and optimized.

3. AI, Audience Data & Advertising Intelligence

A critical component of this position will be helping FreeCast expand the use of AI and data intelligence within advertising operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze advertising, audience and campaign-performance data using AI-assisted tools.
  • Identify audience patterns, targeting opportunities and campaign optimization opportunities.
  • Help transform viewing, geographic, behavioral and campaign data into actionable advertising insights.
  • Work with technical and advertising teams to improve audience segmentation and targeting.
  • Use AI to accelerate campaign analysis, anomaly detection, reporting and optimization.
  • Develop advertiser-facing insights that go beyond traditional impression reporting and help demonstrate who was reached, how campaigns performed, and where campaigns can improve.
  • Assist in developing scalable processes for managing increasingly sophisticated audience and advertising datasets.

The candidate does not need to be an AI engineer but should be highly comfortable using modern AI tools to make advertising operations faster, smarter, more measurable and more accountable.

4. Client QA, Campaign Accountability & Reporting

The Manager will own or oversee the quality-control process between campaign execution and advertiser reporting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Verify campaigns are configured and delivered according to client requirements.
  • Monitor impressions, targeting, pacing, completion rates, delivery and other applicable KPIs.
  • Identify discrepancies or campaign-delivery issues before they become client problems.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting across advertising, technology, sales and platform teams.
  • Maintain campaign QA standards and documentation.
  • Produce clear advertiser and agency reports.
  • Translate technical advertising data into understandable business results.
  • Participate in advertiser reviews and explain campaign performance.
  • Recommend campaign adjustments and future advertising strategies based on actual results.

The objective is simple: every advertising client should understand what FreeCast delivered, how it performed, and what FreeCast can do to improve the client's next campaign.

Ideal Experience

The strongest candidate will have approximately 5+ years of experience across one or more of the following areas:

  • Local television station advertising
  • Broadcast television ad sales or operations
  • CTV / OTT advertising
  • FAST or streaming monetization
  • Programmatic advertising
  • Agency media buying or planning
  • Digital video advertising
  • Ad operations / revenue operations
  • Campaign analytics and reporting

Experience working with local advertisers and agencies is particularly valuable.

Technical Knowledge

Candidates should understand the relationship among:

Advertiser → Agency → DSP → Ad Server/SSP → Streaming Platform → SSAI/DAI → Viewer → Data/Measurement → Reporting

The successful candidate does not have to personally engineer each component but should understand the advertising workflow well enough to work effectively with salespeople, advertisers, agencies, ad-tech vendors, data teams and software engineers.

What FreeCast Is Looking For

FreeCast needs someone who can operate at the intersection of television advertising, streaming technology, data and client service. This person should be equally comfortable discussing a local television campaign with an advertiser, reviewing targeting and delivery with an ad-tech platform, analyzing campaign data using AI, identifying a technical delivery issue with FreeCast's engineering team, and presenting understandable performance results back to the client.

This role ultimately operates the bridge between FreeCast's advertising technology and the advertiser paying to use it, turning sophisticated CTV technology, audience data and AI intelligence into measurable advertising results and recurring revenue.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. (Total Compensation up to $110,000 with On-Target Earnings)

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Employee discount
