Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will help patients receive compassionate, high-quality healthcare so they can achieve well-being and recovery. Every day you will deliver individualized, comprehensive care. You will be expected to make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and meticulously implement patient care plans. To be successful in this role, you must possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset.

  • Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process within hospital policies
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to identify patient outcomes and complete holistic assessments
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, including physician and nursing orders
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge in nursing practice through ongoing education and participate in mentorship
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) and monitor quality of care
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, fostering a positive environment

Job Requirements

Required

  • Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • ND State Board of Nursing current RN. Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. Graduate Nurse (G.N.) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid)
  • Good communications skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written with patients and families. Accountable for own conduct, promotes and supports working relationships amongst coworkers and all of the clinic staff. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information

Preferred

  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required

CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a Level V Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Turtle Lake area and surrounding communities since 1952. Through the years, the hospital has sought to continually upgrade the quality and numbers of services it provides. The hospital's affiliation with major medical centers and health care agencies has allowed it to expand its health care services through a network that begins at the local level. CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is equipped with 2 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services. Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed programs, and acute care services.

Qualifications:

Required
