Job Overview:

Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist – Driscoll Children’s Hospital

The Driscoll Health System is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist to join a robust program engaged in providing the highest standard of patient care for the children of South Texas. We have an opening at Rio Grande Valley location!

This is an opportunity to join a growing division making a substantial impact on an underserved population. The division manages children and young adults with a full range of hematology and oncology diagnoses. We are an active member of the Children’s Oncology Group, seeing 50-60 new oncology patients per year.  Our multidisciplinary team includes dedicated CRAs, Pharm. D, case manager, registered dietician, social workers, child-life specialist and chaplain.

This is primarily a clinical position best suited for someone interested in the care of both hematology and oncology patients.  The successful candidate will provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, participate in COG research and tumor boards.

The ideal candidate will be a BE/BC Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas. Successful applicants will enjoy a highly competitive compensation package.

About Driscoll Children’s Hospital - Rio Grande Valley

The new eight-level hospital is located in Edinburg, Texas, and is one of two freestanding children’s hospitals within the Driscoll Health System. Driscoll Children’s Hospital – RGV is the only designated free-standing children’s hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. Driscoll Health System serves a vast area, covering 33 counties and 33,000 square miles, with a patient population presenting complex and high-acuity medical conditions.

Founded through the vision and generosity of Clara Driscoll, Driscoll Children’s Hospital first opened in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1953. The new location in Edinburg will further the mission of providing essential medical care to all the children of South Texas.
