Job description

NC Programmer - AP100 & Amada Equipment
Join a leading manufacturing organization where your expertise in sheet metal programming directly impacts production efficiency, quality, and innovation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced Amada equipment and collaborate with engineering and production teams in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
-Create and maintain AP100 programs for Amada NC turret punches and fiber laser cutting equipment.
-Develop setup sheets and organized program libraries to support efficient machine operation.
-Collaborate with production planning to create optimized nested programs that maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
-Test, troubleshoot, and improve programs while recommending process, tooling, and design enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
-Minimum 5 years of NC programming experience for turret punch presses and laser cutting machines within a sheet metal fabrication environment.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
-Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, shop math, and mechanical principles.
-Experience using ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
Preferred Skills & Experience
-Experience with SAP ERP software.
-Proficiency with SolidWorks and hands-on setup/operation of Amada NC turret punches and fiber laser equipment.
Education
-High School Diploma or GED required.
